RACE DAY PARKING
🚨 IMPORTANT: NEW RACE DAY PARKING LOCATION 🚨
Due to increased registrations this year, we have secured a new, larger parking location
Parking will be at the Charleston County parking lot on Blackground Road on Johns Island
PLEASE NOTE:
We will NOT be using the Mullet Hall parking lot this year!
The new parking lot is within approximately a 10-minute bus drive to the starting line on Seabrook Island.
SHUTTLE BUS INFORMATION
Buses will transport runners from the Blackground Road parking lot to the starting line.
First bus departs at 6:00 AM.
Buses depart every 30 minutes.
Last bus departs at 7:30 AM.
Return transportation will also be available from the finish at Freshfields Village beginning at 9:00 AM, with the last bus departing Freshfields at NOON.
DIRECTIONS TO THE NEW PARKING LOT
From Maybank Highway via River Road
Travel east on River Road for 9.7 miles.
Turn left onto Blackground Road.
The parking lot will be on your right, approximately 0.2 miles from River Road.
From Maybank Highway via Bohicket Road:
Travel east on Bohicket Road to Betsy Kerrison Parkway.
Turn left onto River Road.
Continue north to Blackground Road, approximately 2.8 miles from Betsy Kerrison Parkway.
Turn right onto Blackground Road. The parking lot will be on your right, approximately 0.2 miles from River Road.
GOOD NEWS ABOUT DROP BAGS!
Drop bags will be provided at the starting line, so you can leave your belongings there before the race and they will be delivered to Freshfields on the Village Green.

The Seabrook Island Half Marathon and 5k is put on in conjunction with the Kiawah - Seabrook Exchange Club and the Charleston Animal Society and the Charleston Running Club.
Age group and award breakdown for the Half and 5k.
• Top three overall male and female
• First Master (40 years and older) male and female
• First Grandmaster (50 years and older) male and female
• First Great Grandmaster (60 years and older) male and female• Top 3 Male and Female in the following age groups(14 and under,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65- 69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89 and 90 & over )
• Top 3 Overall Male & Female Age Graded Finishers
This event will be Rain or Shine.
Packet Pick Up:
-Thursday November 19: 11:00AM - 6:00PM at Fleet Feet Mt Pleasant.
-Saturday November 21: Race Site (Seabrook Island, SC 29455) 6:30 - 7:45AM
All proceeds from the race benefit the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club , the Charleston Running Club and the Charleston Animal Society
After party refreshments will be provided on the village green at Freshfields Village.
Awards will be available post run.
Overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards are based on chip time.
In the event the run is canceled, all participants will have the option to defer to 2027 at no additional charge or elect to run on another date if rescheduled.
The 15th Annual Seabrook Island Half Marathon and 5k
will be held again at the beautiful Freshfields Village to create a run unlike any other. Runners from all over the Southeast will have the opportunity to enjoy the exclusive Seabrook Island scenery while helping to raise funds for various charities and promoting a healthy lifestyle in addition to providing care and shelter for animals needing help and protection. All proceeds from the Run will benefit programs supported by The Kiawah- Seabrook Exchange Club and will provide much needed funding for the wonderful work being done at the Charleston Animal Society. We also support the Charleston Running Club and their community service activities.
